A wall calendar, the phone and Saturday morning
Trailers are often rented out on the side, by a garage, a builder or a farm. The reservations are in a wall calendar or a spreadsheet, the requests arrive by phone, WhatsApp and e-mail, preferably on Friday evening for Saturday.
That is how the familiar mistakes happen: the tipper is promised twice, a customer turns up without the required driving licence category, the trailer comes back three hours late, and the invoice for the business customer is left undone.

How you rent out trailers with Rentolino
Every trailer with its own tariffs
You add each trailer as a rental object of the type 'Trailer', with registration number, location and description. You set the price list per trailer, for example 4 hours, 1 day and 1 week. As a trailer has no odometer, you choose 'unlimited km'.
Requirements are part of the booking
You store the driving licence category (for example BE), the minimum age and further conditions such as a deposit or a 13-pin plug with the trailer. On the booking page the customer has to confirm that they meet them.
A booking link instead of the phone
Your booking page shows the trailers with prices and the opening hours of the location. The customer picks the date, the start time and a tariff, Rentolino works out the end. If the trailer is already taken for that time, the request cannot be sent.
Buffers and blocked periods
A buffer after every rental leaves time for cleaning and checking. If a trailer has to go to the vehicle inspection or the workshop, you block it for online booking for that period or hide it there altogether.
Invoice with the QR payment part
After the return you create the invoice from the rental with one click, as a PDF with the Swiss QR bill. Business customers who rent regularly are saved as customer profiles and do not have to be entered again each time.
Where is the trailer?
With a GPS tracker you see the trailer on the map. As a trailer has no power of its own, it needs a tracker with a battery. Please check the model with us before you buy it.

Is Rentolino suitable for a single trailer?
Yes. You can start with one rental object and add more later. The plans page shows how many rental objects each plan includes.
Can customers rent a trailer by the hour or for half a day?
Yes. You set tariffs by hours, days, weeks or months, for example '4 hours' for half a day. When booking online, the customer picks the tariff and Rentolino calculates the end of the rental from it.
How do I prevent someone without the right driving licence from booking?
You store the required category, the minimum age and further conditions with the trailer. The booking page shows them, and the customer has to confirm before sending that they meet them. You still check the licence at the handover, because Rentolino does not verify documents.
Can customers pay online or leave a deposit?
No. Rentolino does not process payments. After the rental you create an invoice with the QR payment part or take payment on site. You can note a deposit as a condition with the trailer.
Can I rent out trailers that belong to a partner?
Yes. You mark the trailer as a cooperation object, choose the owner and set your commission as a percentage. Rentolino shows your share and the amount for the owner per rental and creates the statement as a PDF.
